    Rinspeed pic

    Subtle but very nice...

    Re: Rinspeed pic

I like this better than the Porsche Aero Kit

    Re: Rinspeed pic

Me too... This looks really clean. One of the best things about the 997/911 shape is that its so elegant and not overtly aggresive. The aerokit makes the 997 look more sporty in an aggresive way, this makes it look more sporty in an elegant, classy way while still being masculine.

    Re: Rinspeed pic

I saw a C2S in Artic silver on Saturday fitted with the aerokit. It was the dealer's demo car and the front lip spoiler had taken a bit of a beating due to it being so low and the leading edge was pretty badly chewed up. The car had the 19" sport design alloys fitted and I thought it looked really good. It was certainly a whole lot better than I imagined it was going to be.

I wasnt saying the aerokit looks bad. It looks Quite good IMO, but for someone in my position, where the Cars gonna be my daily runner, this will be the better pick.

    The AeroKit also looks IMO.

    Re: Rinspeed pic

    Sorry BC997J,

Wires crossed I think. I didn't believe you were saying that you didn't like the aerokit.

One thing I did notice about the aerokit though was that there is quite a gap between the underside of the headlight and the headlight indent on the bumper which doesn't look great. It wasn't a case of this particular kit not being fitted correctly either as the rest of the shutlines where it met the hood and front wings were perfect.

    Re: Rinspeed pic

i like the rinspeed 997 as well, very nicely touched off

I have always like the Rinspeed. I think it's the best for all the reasons other have stated. I was going to put it on my car, without the wing, but have decided against it because of the likelihood I would just mess up the chin. Anyone have first hand experience with driving a 997 with an after-market front spoiler ? Would like to know how they are fairing with it.

    Re: Rinspeed pic

    looks beautiful..so far da best!

    Re: Rinspeed pic

Not a fan of after fits but the Rinspeed is the best by far its just right without being over the top , subtle ..

    throt..

    Re: Rinspeed pic

I still can't believe they would spend all that time and money to make the car look good - and leave that lame license plate holder in place....

Front license plates are compulsory in all European countries.

Same here, in California. I guess my point is that if aero packages are mainly for cosmetics (at regular speeds, etc.), it seems contradictory to stick on a plate which breaks up the nice lines. Unless it means jail time, I'd take the risk of a ticket anytime.

    Re: Rinspeed pic

wOw... Thats really a better kit than what porsche came out with

    Re: Rinspeed pic

To be honest, I don't even really mind the European license plates, I think they look pretty cool. But our US plates look butt ugly on the front.

Or... the grass is always greener.....
I'm just joking... I could tolerate the europlates anyday!

Hahaha...true, true, except they also get clear sidemarkers and sport suspension also!

But anyway, does anyone who how much the Rinspeed kit costs including installation? Or at least just the front bumper? Or is that just a lip?

I have a couple of quotes for the spoiler and side skirts, no wing as I was not interesting in that piece. The spoiler is $934 and the side skirts are $1174. Another quote was $2,004 for both. At least they were consistent. The paint and labor is about $900. So figure around $3,000 US when you're done. I think the rear wing will double this amount.
