    Bi-colour interior pics

I'm thinking about changing my C2 for either another C2, C2S or possibly even a C2 cab. I'm leaning towards the new bi-colour interior option with black and terracotta being my likely choice. Does anyone have any good pics of this option? As usual the dealer is sucking air through his teeth at the likely effect on resale value but I think this will be a strong selling point in future as it makes the car different to the norm. I've had several bi-colour interiors on BMW and Audi's now and every one has sold on without a problem. My last E60 5 series BMW had the auburn/black interior and the dealer sold it within 2 hours of me trading it in.

Apologies to the performance guys on the board... I know discussing interior colour options is heresy to you all

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

I've got no pics for you ISUK but i'd go for it.. Its nice to have something thats different to the norm.
    BTW go for the C2S!

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

Haven't seen Black / terracotta but heres Black/tan

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

i've seen pics of it, let me go find it and i'll post here if i'm successful btw don't look too great IMO..

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

    Don't like it either

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

Interesting..., My first thought is all dashes SHOULD be black anyway because of windshield reflections and perhaps better vision for the driver (trying to see pedestrians and roadway doesn't clash with bright dash). Therefore I'd get this option in a minute if I wanted a light-colored interior. Kinda looks cool but not cool enough to get without a good reason, the reflection thing is definitely a good reason.

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

they should make the steering wheel the same colour as the seats, would look much better

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

Thanks Stradale. I actually really like it as I'm not usually a fan of single colour interiors unless it is all black. I do like the all sand beige interior though but like MMD says the dash reflection issue worries me. That pic doesn't do full justice to the true colour of sand beige either and it looks a bit "busy" on a guards red car. I was thinking of either artic or GT silver with the black/terracotta interior. There is a tiny pic of Walter Röhrl driving a 997 in GT silver with the black/terracotta interior in the latest Christophorous which is where I got the idea from. It would be nice to see a larger pic though.
I was thinking of going for the rear of the centre console painted in the exterior colour as well to take out a little bit more of the terracotta.

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

OMG, i dint know there was an option for 2 tone color interiors. i wish i would have ordered terracota/black or terracota/white. instead of plain terracota.

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

    amir,

It's a new option for 06 model year I believe so it possibly wasn't available when you ordered your car.

Or two-tone that as well... Top/Bottom in the lighter colour... middle band black?
And it needs to be a sports wheel, obviously!

But I still thought it would be a bit better - it seems a good idea on paper for those wanting a light coloured interior but don't like dash reflections. But in the flesh, it looks kinda disjointed.

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

The "two-tone" dash-seat combo. seems to mesh better than does the "two-tone" seat combo. (also a big push on the BMW M-Roadster series-however, I stuck with all-black on my 1999 M-Roadster), the "two-tone" seats always seem too "noisy" colorwise to me, although the dark dashboard and lighter seats look OK in the above pic, especially with the lighter seat colors. Agree that a beige steering wheel would look better in the black-beige combo. photo. I'll still go with ALL-sand beige/ALL-leather interior for the 997TT, I really like the way Porsche made their sand beige, here's hoping they don't change it on the 997TT. . . .

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

If you look at the online configurator it shows the centre boss of the steering wheel in the lighter leather colour which gives a good effect and means the rim stays black which is better IMHO for hiding marks/wear. It's odd that the car in the pic has an all black wheel.

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

The online car configurator also claims seat get black edges, but it is wrong AFAIK.

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

The UK and German configurators show the seats in a single colour. I think you may be looking at the bi-colour option in the Boxster which is different to the 997. The Boxster gets a stone grey centre section of the seat with black outer edges.

    Re: Bi-colour interior pics

remember me the old 2 tone on the 993

    woshhhh

You're right, they must have fixed this since the last time I checked. They did fail to fix the wheel part, though

What I am wondering about is what color would the air vents be if the additional leather dashboard package is selected. The car configurator shows them as the non-black color, which looks odd.
