Some of these guys are like car whores, they will buy anything and everything.

But some buy it because of the technology, they share my view that the NSX is a 918-lite.

A few was convinced by the Honda guy about the car during development and ordered it, they have no regrets.

Lastly another few had the original NSX, so buying the new one is a no brainer.

Very interesting!

I too think that the NSX is a very interesting car. However - I probably would not occupy a valuable garage slot with one of it. I hope we are going see more cars with comparable drive trains.

The NSX, made by Porsche with the performance of the 991.2 Turbo S (or even slightly better), it would have been an amazing product and Porsche could have easily asked 200k (base price) for it.

For Honda to succeed, they needed a NSX which is not good but amazing. It is a good car, an interesting product with interesting tech but it is not amazing. Not 200k amazing.

We might see 992 with hybrid technology, and drivetrain idea from the 918.

When I last talked with Frank about putting a 918-ish hybrid system in a 911, he smiled. But deflecting the talk about there won't be one in the 991.

The centre tunnel space is there for batteries when they skip the center drive shaft, and the front diff location is perfect for a e-motor.

New NSX is too expensive and didn't at all deliver on performance. $150K and another 70hp at least.

The original NSX aged very very well, from the outside it still look current, even the interior isn't dated either.

FYI, Honda has a full in house NSX restoration program. They'll restore an NSX to pretty much production line new.
