    Chrome tailpipe trim for 2005/06 Boxster S for sale

    Guys, just placed this on ebay, Item number: 4569180918.
    I'm based in the UK, so shall only sell in the UK. Its a superb part and worth every penny... apologies for advertising here, but cant get my head round that there is such a LONG waiting list/time for the Porsche Chrome tailpipe trim, glad I got mine from the factory.

    Mmmmm interesting.... I assume this can be retrofitted onto a 2005 987s by a dealer?

    Anyone have a picture with one on a car?

    No pic, but CharlesL has one - looked great when we saw him the other week. He fitted his himself I believe - just a 16mm spanner if I remember correctly....

    could we all end up bidding I wonder?

    Yep, its the original one polished up! v cheeky indeed young man. Although I suppose thats one way to get the cash back on your new chrome purchase

    Actually I suppose if you have a non S and fancy the twin pipes could be a bargain.

    Rich, yeh its the original one but the part I ordered from factory arrived 2 days later from picking up the car... could never understand hoe the factory can run out of parts...lol.

    If it was the chrome one I would have been really interested (got myself added to my OPC's waiting list for the Tequipment part yesterday... he said it could take months ). The other one I have already.

    Is the chrome one the exact same size as the original? Or is it still Vectra sized!

    Just popped out to the garage to check ... its 15mm actually. Took about 15 minutes to fit - 5 to change it and 10 trying to decide if it was level, too far in, too far out ....

    Thanks for that - I'll take a 15mm spanner with me in case either you or Boothy turn up at the next meet. Do you think the chrome tailpipe will look good with arctic silver?

    The tequipment part is so much nicer than the original. Mine arrived three weeks after ordering, and makes a massive difference compared to the "nasty" yellow standard one.

    Ente... hold out and order. I ordered when i collected the car mid July, and had teh exhaust 1st week in August.

    Catsflap - Thanks. I tried to order but the part is so far backordered they would not even let me place an order. All I managed is to be put on the notification list to be phoned up once the part is available for ordering. But it'll be here eventually.

    So even those who have fitted the Tequipment tailpipe can't tell me whether it has larger exits than the standard fit tailpipe. Have I offended you all?

    It pretty much exactly the same only chrome. My wife was impressed with my $400 purchase. I told her it was refined but subtle.

    I haven't got both to measure.
    If you have an 'S' with standard tail pipe, measure it and I'll tell you if mine is bigger than yours

    I do not think its any bigger, but it looks far better as the whole fixture is more solid.

    Mine sounds great, but it has nothing to do with the tip
