    RMS failure

    How many miles? When you think of it it's probably better that it happen early on so that hopefully you can forget about it and not have to deal with it again.

    7500 miles and it doesn't worry me at all. Thats what warranties are for

    That's a fairly refreshing way to look at it. Unless, or until they feel that you had something to do with it.

    Other than that, the car should be as good as new, and with a fresh oil change. But, maybe you should ask them to put in some indicator. Just in case.

    That was my main concern before ...This RMS issue was plastered all over the p-car boards... after a while it becomes a small annoyance like BMW's never ending CAB rattles that they never seem to find a fix. Not to mention the grenading engines!

    The indicator is an oil additive that will glow yellow under UV Black light. If you have a new leak, you would notice the leaking area sooner than waiting for the spot on the garage floor. The indicator could also be a quick tool for the mechanic to determine a problem, by examining the emanating leak's location. Not all oil leaks are the RMS.

    Got the car back yesterday evening and all is well. Will be on track with it Wednesday evening so at least I got this fixed before that.
