Saw an old lady abuse the bumper on a 997s Cab like a RAM

She was parking her older model Mercedes in San Francisco in front of a BRAND NEW Red 997S Cab. and she rammed her rear bumper into the front bumper of the 997. She got out and didn't even look at the other car. So I left a note for the 997 owner with my phone number and the plate number of the old lady.. No one called so the damage must not have bothered the owner... a few scratches... but it was painfull to watch... the 997 actually MOVED when she hit it...

Sucks but it happens every day in France evetytime someone parks, we're used to it by now.

I personally try not to park a nice car on the street, usually in parking.
Very different where I live in the UK (London, Scotland) a true car enthousiasts nation, you'd never see that.

I have a similar story. I witnessed a fellow try to get out of a parking spot and in the process had his tire rub up against the car next to it. The guy looked like he was just going to leave so I went and told an employee of the store that the parking lot belonged to. We both looked at this guy and he starts talking to us. I said we should tell the owner and he said "I saw no damage (it was dark), if it happened to my car I wouldn't mind, that's the golden rule."

The golden rule is inherently illogical because it leads to contradictions. By the same logic if the owner of the damaged car would gladly accept getting his finger chopped off as payment if he had damaged a car then the guy who hit the car should accept the same fate. In conclusion, the general public needs to understand that if they don't care about the cars, they still need to be careful because they have to respect those who do. It would be like sneezing on a piece of priceless artwork and not offering an apology because you don't like art.

There are two old ladys in my street that drive Honda Civic's. Every time they park they use the car behind as a primitive PDC by bumping it to see when to stop!!

What really annoys me is that when I park I leave about 2-3 feet between my car and the one behind to allow that person room to manouvre someone always stands at the window of a neighbouring house gesturing to back up!!. If the space is only enough for 1 1/2 cars I park in the middle and all hell ensues! I even got told to stop taking up so much space when I had a mini!!!

So many people in my street are retired and have 2 or 3 cars per couple that never move for days! Pi$$es me right off!

Never mind the Super Glue (but will remember that) lets get the hammer out!!

Steve as soon as you said old ladys and civics I thought this guys in the UK ..What a shock and yes they are lethal and if they give you a big dent they say " dont worry love it'll polish out "

haha! all female kind do damage nice car!! even my wife does , she just make a small dent by just trying to use clay before polish the car!!!

and i do hate weekend driver!

Nothing worse than a weekend driver Bazza! We've got a big arts festival going on in Edinburgh right now and the drivers are crazy! There was this one driver sitting at 35mph in a 70mph and wouldnt move over! Even with light flashing and a horn, nothing! There were no other cars around!! When i passed (on the inside eventually) the person just looked like the had not even seen or heard me!! Crazy, I hate having to pass on the inside but no choice if I wanted to go on my way!
