    Something about it caught fire on a parking lot, had only 4000 km (appr.2800 miles) on the clock.
    I seems it won the local burn-out competition.
    Guess it was a malfunction in an electrical cirquit somewhere.

    Same problem Peugeot 307 and some VW Touran are facing.
    One small malfunction in the distributor, and your car is gone. Tough luck.
    Hope he got the car replaced by insurance.

    ahh a clio v6, my dad used to be a mechanic, he said french cars always seem to have problems with wiring

    Hmm, is this a normal Clio?
    Looks somewhat strange (despite the fire). But maybe it is just because I do do not know the current range of Clios too well.
    Are there Turbo Clios?

    Ah, I found it myself.
    This is in fact a Turbo Clio a 3L V6 engine and 255 BHP.
    I did not know that Renault has a Turbo version of the Clio.
    According to their webpage this Clio beat the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale in Evo Magazine's 2003 Car of The Year test

    Maybe this was due to this afterburner effect. Quite handy for barbecues. Reminds me of Burger King's "feel the fire" slogan.

    it's not turbocharged, it's normally aspirated.

    no worries, the previous models were turbocharged, this one they decided to keep it normally aspirated
