    Cayenne Facelift (pics)

    Here are some spy shots of the cayenne facelift. As you can see from the rear.. the non turbo cayenne has an accentuated rear bumper that shows off the exhausts too (just like the turbo).. and has a kinda X5 like shelf thing going on underneath of it. The front of the Cayenne looks a little bit more aggressive, especially with the headlights, which may be narrower to give it a meaner look... and of course, a revised front bumper. Enjoy.

    Nasty looking in my opinion. I'll take my Techart TT any day over this thing... I'm sure that by Jan 07 it will look a lot different from this incarnation.

    Exactly what I am thinking, having said that, I think the changes are more than the usual facelift cosmetic, bumpers and interior changes, if this is facelift with new headlight design (usually healights are not changed on facelift models), then they will be going for a complete new look for the the generation in 2010. Looking at the present cay (which I think came from boxter), I wander which car the new generation will be based on.

    The TechArt Cayenne TT is the looks like a car and all one piece sorta, right? (refresh my memory)... if that is the one you are talking about, I think ANYONE would rather have that one than any other Cayenne TT.. however, if that is the one you are talking about--- isn't that whole conversion about 500k? If that is the one you are talking about, and I am pretty sure it is... NO TRUCK IS WORTH over 100k... it's a truck. A military grade hummer in the U.S. can be purchased (used) for about 35k).... and it could out do any of these things if taken off road (which is basically the ONLY reason I would purchase an SUV). The inside of a hummer sucks, but for 15k you can change that (just take it to a company that does the interior of vehicles... you can leather and tv's, gps and whatever else you want for about 15k... )

    The Cayenne is really a jacked up station wagon with some off road capability.

    Its almost as if Porsche rediscovered the 60's Chevy Nomad concept, added sohpisticated running gear, very little utility value and wrapped it under a modern european body.

    If you must have a fast station wagon with higher seating view its a better choice than a BMW X or MB model de jour.

    On a purely cost per kilo basis, its the best Porsche deal out there!

    Killer...this is my baby (same kit exactly)... It's quite stunning to see in the flesh....The Metallic Grey TT with full T/A kit cost me around $130k....

    p.s. no engine mods were done...

    Looks good so far, thanks for the pics.
    The headlights on the current Cayenne are one part of its design that I really don't like. They seem much better in the facelifted version.

    Maybe the X5 shelf like thing described in the text is for the offroad package. In the picture the Cayenne has the off road package fenders, so maybe thats what it could be? Also, The mirrors look a bit more boxy than the current, or maybe its the angle or I am going crazy.

    oh, alright. I've seen that kit before. A guy down the street here in Philly has one like it (it's black). I don't think his has engine mods either, but it's a turbo, so it's fast enough already.

    ...Don't like the front lip spoiler with fog lights. It looks too disjointed.

    That's certainly an interesting kit Avant. Can we see more please? You've got the TA headlights, the Gemballa Foglights, the TA side skirt, the Gemballa Hood and Wheels?

    Its a V6 under the featherweight carbon-fibre hood and wheels are HRE 20" ...very light weight too compared to the OEM 17"
