I think I would have gotten the R8 because of the V10 even if it looked like a Hyundai.
The camouflage wrap on the rear wing is funny...and pointless.

Rumor time! From lambo power:
I wish Lamborghini would build a Huracan on the same principle as the GT3RS, I heard they've got one in the works after the H SL, I really hope they do it, the Huracan platform would be fantastic for that.
I've also heard that particular version will be RWD.

Something special must have happened at lambo, since a certain lambo instagramer posted this, with this caption:
I would really hate my job right now if I had to put out a car to compete with whatever this car is (🤐) that my brother 👑 @marcomapelli 👑 is driving on the Nürburgring in these photos. Sorry @Ferrari and @mclarenauto. You might want to sit this one out. 👍👍 🤔👑💍🏁😆🏁🤐 😇😉👌🇮🇹

hunterone:Its the same as with the Aventador SV time on special Trofeo R developement tires. Never achieved in real live conditions so the Huracan SL time is for sure also pointless.
Huracan SL (or whatever model designation they choose) will be different. They want to send a message...
I still think however that since that might be the last car with a n/a V10 engine, they should give it the most maximum power possible. 30 horses more, a bit lessweight and an excellent chassis setup won't cut it in my opinion. Make it at least 650 horses and reduce weight by at least 100 kg. Then we are talking...

kingjr9000:It would be interesting to see the gt2rs vs the SL ring times though
The GT2 RS has achieved some pretty impressive preliminary times so far and development isn't finished yet.

That is exactly what i think there're going for. They know they can't keep up in the power wars while staying away from turbos, so the only other option is lighter. I think they're trying to take the "porsche" approach and use that style to keep up or beat the competition.

I've just got an update from Lamborghini. The new Huracan will not be called Superleggera but Performante. The weight will be -40kg. And the best part...They insist that it will be faster than the 918 on track! This is not "rumours", this is official marketing talk inside Lamborghini.

noone1:LOL. It's not even going to come close to a 918 on the track. The 610 was already slower than a 570S in a straight line, let alone a 918, and 40kg is barely anything when you consider how heavy the car still is.
Would need to shed another 150-200kg
That explains why they don't feel they can call it the Superleggera.

what!? That seems to go against everything we've heard and read from multiple sources who've heard 80-100kg loss. What have you heard about the power? If it isn't 650ps, then something else is going on. You sure that isn't the spyder version? I would ask if you know anything about the difference body styles, but i personally doubt they'd say. However, I have seen the name performante on a list before, though.

This comes directly from someone who saw the car presented in flesh at the Lamborghini factory by Lamborghini officials. The horsepower number was not announced, only the things that I said. As for the track time, it seems impossible but I'd rather wait and see than call this bullshit.
It wasn't long ago when most Porsche fans here believed that a 580hp Turbo S was a 25 sec from 0 to 300...
I actually don't care if this track time is true or not. One thing I know is that in 2017 nothing will be close to this Huracan. And given how much I liked the 580, the only question is - which dealer would be the fastest to deliver me a car.

How well did you enjoy your 580-2? BTW, if the new performante is based on the 580-2 and is rwd, then saving 40kg is perfectly acceptable considering the 610-4 that C&D tested was 3420. So then 3420-70=3350 (580-2). 3350-88=3262. But that is only if its RWD, if it isn't, then that kinda sucks
