You can't miss it - from the main train station is a direct connection to the IAA - also from the Airport - the trains are running continously during show days/hours. The show area is about 20 big halls with cars and equipment.
Lots of fun and exitment. I would recommend to get a pass during Industry Days (two days before the show opens to the public), then you can really see something - otherwise you have to fight your way through the crowds to get closer to the cars.

My German is a bit rusty but I think this is a reasonable translation of the train schedule from Weisbaden to the Fesitval Halle.
Wiesbaden station departure 9:49 am high-speed train S8 going to Hanau station
Arrive Frankfurt station at 10:43 am
Trams/trains depart Frankfurt station every 5 minutes starting from 10:44 for the festival hall/IAA

During the IAA 2003, the german train corporation Deutsche Bahn (DB) usually have special trains going straight to the IAA at special prices. So if you take such a special train from Wiesbaden, I'm pretty sure you'll end up where you want to go because you also get precise directions.
