Thanks for that. My search for the missing link kept bringing me back to the wrong thread..........

It's so bland, almost looks unfinished to me. Complete lack of bumper edge definitions make it look like a cartoon..

starting at 50k in Canada I believe, I find that quite pricy still.

Actually from $61,500 as per their site. Keep in mind this replaces the LR4, which started at $65,000. This will be the biggest Land Rover - identical sized to the full sized Range Rover for 56% the price - could argue it is a bargain.

Front is nice, Range Rover nice but the rear is...how to put it...weird. Interior is also an improvement.

I find it horribly styled. While I always thought the Discovery 4 was a very cool looking car, this has none of that rugged cool.

I hope the new Defender is better. That is the one that interests me the most.

Up until now, nobody would have mentioned the Defender and styling in the same sentence.
It is cool due to it's lack of styling though

Haven't posted in quite a while but thought I would chip in on this thread.
I've just put in my order today for one of these. HSE in Corris grey with black pack. For me, it's the perfect family car. We have a toddler and a baby and spend a lot of time in the country. I've considered other cars such as the X5 and Q7 but they don't have enough boot space or carry 7 people in comfort. Plus I've had lots of problems with my A6 avant and my local Audi dealer is very poor.
I've been invited to the Land Rover factory in Solihull next weekend to see the new Discovery in the flesh and to speak to some of the engineers behind it. Will let you know how it goes!
The Discovery is very popular here in La Jolla. Seems like everyone has one. Certainly better looking than the Evoque. A couple of people I spoke with LOVE it.
On another note, MY RRS had a defective fuel gage sensor. It took over three weeks to get the part from England. Also, after 20,000 miles I needed front and back brake pads $1250.

Congrats! Several RR Sport owners on RT, you may be the rare Discovery owner. I guess delivery will be well into the English winter, so please do a thread when you have it...

Will do, it's expected in March all being well.
Moser:Congrats it's the nicest color combo we have it on our disco sport! sorry for the crappy pics, not that great with a camera
Nice car! My wife is thinking about changing to a Disco sport. I do think this colour combination suits these cars, I see quite a lot of RRS over here in grey with the stealth/black pack
