    Slate Grey / Terracotta

Still in love with my color combo...for those interested in either color, here is a good shot...

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

    UAUUUUUUUUU!!

    Looks great!!!

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

Terracotta compliments Slate very well....very nice. I saw a midnight blue with terracotta the other day.....and for some reason it just didn't look right. On paper I thought it would look great....but it was just OK.

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

vree skoone oto in het vlaams,
    in englisch
very beautifull car ...also the area arround is super

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

AWESOME...I like slate grey so much more than seal grey...more distinctive with the brownish tone...

    Nice house BTW...

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

Hello Fargo, what's new with your black babe ?
I did 4500 km in one month..! The beast roars now !
When a little meeting of the all black team ?
About the picture above, keep the car (not black enough) and give me the house (close enough by the ocean)

Actually, I've always thought the following:
    - seal grey has a very slight brownish tone in it
    - atlas grey has a slight blue (dark blue in fact) tone in it
    - slate is just pure grey

    Am I wrong?

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

    Unbelievably good lookin'

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

Fantastic combo - if I can get that on my next 911 with deviating natural grey carpet , rear center console in matching slate grey ..... ummmmm!

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

Brilliant, Clayton. Looks better than new.

...and looks like the pic being downloaded more times than Cindy Margolis !

More pics please, any rear shots?...love the effect of dark metallic paints on 997's rear haunches.

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

Very nice - I was tempted to go for this option myself, but instead went for Slate with black interior. Have to say, my only concern is that the terracota leather is a bit too much. I would have ideally quite liked a mix between terracota and cocoa.

My slate grey still gets LOADS of compliments though. Good choice.

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

No Pic does the 9975 any justice at all . At the weekend I see a atlas grey with black and it also looked stunning its just in the pics you can not see those sexy curves..

Cars with complex curves , like Porsches and Ferraris always look better ( more hunkered down ) in person because of subtle light reflections as you move around . Cars that have mostly straight lines , like Lambo Countach and Gallardo , pretty much look exactly like their pics .
My all time " pics don't do it justice " is the 1980s Ferrari Testarossa , where you have no idea how WIDE and low it is , esp . from the rear view , until you've seen it in person. !

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

    Very good choice!!

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

Very nice combo 997fan. I am considering a 997 and was leaning tword seal Gray/Beige or Black, but your combo is very nice and might change my mind. Any other pictures?

Love it! My old combo (artic/Boxster Red) the color got a bit more reddish over time. Is the terracotta different from Boxster red?

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

No way I'd do something like that. It attracts too much attention. Might look seriously outdated in a few years. Some colors are "fad" colors and lose their appeal fast. Plus the interior design is so bizzy it looks less complex in a darker color.

Nothing wrong with the guy/gal who chooses it. But Maybe something wrong with the color, like maybe it's appeal has a built in self-destruct.

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

i have da same interior but with black exterior...i think thats the best interior on porshe..so damn sexy!

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

very smooth the car looks RICH!

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

    More pictures!

I just saw a couple of slate grey's in reality and this really seems to be an interesting colour. In my eyes it looks much more sculptural and has a deeper tone than the other greys. I am not into dark colours but this one really "shines" (stupid joke, I know...).

Any more pics from front and rear, and maybe the interior, and...

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

Can we see a few more pics of your car? It is very nice.

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

    wonderful color combo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

I saw a slate grey 997 in the showroom at Porsche Centre Park Lane (in Central London) on Saturday night as I was driving by after a particularly enjoyable evening out.

It's a beautiful colour. Personally, it's a little too dark for me. We have so little consistent sunshine in the UK, I would prefer a colour that maximises use of the available sunlight and is easy to keep clean.

As for terracotta, I think it's one of those colours you either love or loathe. I fall into the latter category but I respect those who do fall for it. Personally it's too orangey-red for me.

    Happy choosing!

Gotta see each of these colors in sunlight to see some of the subtle differences....
    Atlas has dark bluish tone
    Seal: lavender-like
    Slate: brownish ...

    Re: Slate Grey / Terracotta

The color combo looks great, I see why you're still in love.
