    Michelins???? No thanks!

Anybody watching the US Grandprix get that feeling that they'd like some Bridgestones on their Porsche???

    Pilots Sports sir?

    No thanks, send them back!!

    Do'h

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Don't worry, there is not enough similarity between the compound used in the F1 racing tires and those on your vehicle for them to be comparable. The Pilot Sports are a good product, regardless of the race results.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Thats ok. It only the British humour taking the [censored] as usual.

This is quite possibly the end of Michelin in Formula 1

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Pilot Sport any time over Bridgestone :-)
F1 has got nothing to do with 'our' tires, plus Bridge also had their share of problems with these new rules.
I hope it's the end of this stupid "tyre set per week-end" thing...

    Re: Michelins New USA Warranty

One lap on your driveway or first 100 yards!

Covers LEVEL road surfaces only !!!

    Re: Michelins New USA Warranty

Well i think its just a question of profissionalism. They said the cars shouldn't run unless they could put the new tires that were flow from the factory, instead of just letting the cars run with the probability that there wouldn't even be a single tire failure. They new this would hurt their image, but i think they made the right choice.
And Pilot Sport 2 are the best tires for cars, no matter what!

    Re: Michelins New USA Warranty

I am detecting a serious humour failure on the board!!

Big mistake. Pilots are the best and I've tried almost all the N-rated tires.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Today's fiasco at Indy wouldn't scare me from using Michelins but Michelin should be embarrassed by their behavior.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

pilot sport PS2s are still the best summer tire out there

they were yesterday, they are today, and they will be tommorow, until michelin comes out with something even better.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

F1 and europe looked like fools...how could they do that...

It was ridiculous. I can't believe they did not cancel the race. They made the reace just to get the money from sponsors and TV rights. It's all about the money.

Usually americans don't even know who's schumacher and what's F1. Now they will hate it for the next 10 years.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Have the PS2's on mine and they are good, rears due for replacement and toying with going to the Pilot Sport Cups, anybody tried them or has them?

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

I am definitely sensing that the Americans on this board don't get the British sense of humour.

I guess they never watched Fawlty Towers.

Again our warmongering chums, I ask you have you ever heard of the phrase ''tongue in cheek''?

    Come on!

I'm sure they have, but the thread is a good excuse to swap thoughts on tyres. I've got Michelins on mine. Perhaps I should ban myself from driving.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Am all for a chat about tyres, and I hope to get PS2's on mine in October, but am just commenting on their apparent lack of sense of dry humour.......

Now't to chase round here but body-kitted Corsas. I swear that the kids round here think that if they put enough wierd fins on and paint it red, people will think their car's a Ferrari

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

    ROFL wtsnet!!

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

So they still cover the car in glue then ram raid Halfords.
(Thats for the Brits on the site) They don't have Halfords over here.
By the way I'm a Brit abroad.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Halfords, glue, you got it! And for extra points, put pretty lights all over (and under) your car and drive it loudly round a car park....
Just like in that film, '2 farts, 2 furry-dice'.

    Re: Michelins???? No thanks!

Not too much different over here 'cept they drive Civic's.
