    gnil, I have no intention whatsoever to drive in the winter. I don't think the traction is a big problem, especially not with a C4/C4S, but if you take the Sports Suspension (-20mm) option I think you will have an issue with the ground clearance. Also, with Sports Suspension you can only fit 19 inch wheels on the car and winter tyres in 19 inch does not come cheap The money you "save" by getting a C2S and no winter tyres is enough to buy a few years old (and boring) Audi with 4 wheel drive which you can use in the winter instead

    I was considering the C4S first to be able to use it when going snowboarding in the winter. But decided it was better to get a "proper" sports car setup with only rear wheel drive and stick with the excellent Swiss railway system during winter

    Awesome pics bluelines she's lovely , also I stayed at Engleberg for a few nights a couple of year back , cant remember the name of the hotel though but some great roads out there for the -20..

    How about removing the rear wiper blade assembly in the off seasons so you don't have to look at the blade and arm all year? Just put a cap over the stub; find cap somewhere, at hardware store. Just a suggestion

    I picked up my 997 S with sport suspension last Friday.
    Car documentation clearly states that 18' winter tires are allowed! By the way - have tested one at my dealer last winter.

    Are you talking about PASM in sports suspension mode or the -20mm, called ( in french) sports chassis?

    Think you mix something up.
    The -20mm chassis can only be ordered with 19' rims.
    BUT: You are allowed to use 18' winter tires!! (And my car documentation states 'winter tires only' on 18').
