If someone wants to steal your car...good luck.
Just be careful where you park your car and stay aware of your surroundings, watch for same people/cars following you, taking photos and so on. In the end, there isn't much you can do though.
A GPS tracker is useful but make sure there is no sticker or similar on your car. If a professional thief sees the sticker, he will certainly try to make sure that the GPS tracker doesn't work properly. There are ways...
Get proper insurance protection and always keep your doors locked, even during daytime because of possible car-jacking.
I do not know how the situation in Australia is but in Europe, it really depends on where you live, where you park the car and if a thief "needs" a car like yours because he has a job for one.

Porsche's rarely are stolen. Car thieves want cars they can use in criminal activities and high visibility cars with very little space are not stolen. Your R will look like a run of the mill Porsche. No need to be concerned.

I don't know about the US or Australia but in Europe...

Again, Porsche's are RARELY stolen for reasons I outlined above. For those with security concerns like yourself, should someone want your R they will get it REGARDLESS of your security. No system is fool proof.

Several years ago now a cousin of mine came back to where she thought she left her car, with dog on back seat, in a large shopping centre car park. Car and dog nowhere to be seen.
She panicked and went to the police where she proceeded to describe the 20 year old Renault and the large German Shepherd last seen asleep in the car. Needless to say the police officer was somewhat sceptical that a thief would choose that car with that dog of the many hundreds of cars in the car park, and he accompanied her back to the car park. The car was still there, dog still asleep, about 20m from where she had been looking.

Have a cat - might paint some spots on it
Best advice is to insure the car for market value if possible.
