Beautiful day
Well, the weather held out for us, and I dragged Ente, RichC and J on a brief tour of West Dorset. Nice to see the three cars in convoy. Dreamcar you were missed!

I think it has come the time of year where the weather is sunny, and this of course brings out the slow 'Sunday Drivers', so progress was often held up, giving us a chance to enjoy the open topped cuise through the countryside, birdsong mixing with the throaty sounds of the flat 6.
Indeed I think the noise of the exhaust makes your passage seem speedier than it actually is - a couple of cyclists we carefully crept past waved their fist and told us to 'slow down'... we were only doing 30-35 on the 60 limited road.
So Ente and RichC met up with us in the ghost-town that is Poundbury, Prince Charles' new picture-postcard town that is the expansion of the Dorest town of Dorchester. Nice architecture, and very 'quaint', but very soul-less for some reason. The only active townsfolk were the pigeons that perched above our open cars and made us nervous. At least Ente carries leather cleaner.
Dorchester is famed for it's Thomas Hardy literary connection, but also linked to two other Thomas Hardy(e)s - one an industrialist, the other a naval officer. The naval officer had a tower built on top of a hill to celebrate his kiss with Admiral Nelson (Whose last words were alledgedly 'Kiss me Hardy').
There's a great view of Dorchester, the sea, and a row of three Boxsters from the top of the tower. We did hope it didn't start to rain while we were up-top.

we finally found some tourist-free road to blast along, narrow and twisty, so quite fun. You do sometimes feel the width of the Boxster on roads like this.
Quite a few Porsches on the roads down here too today, though I think the roads are far too tiny for much overtaking. That's Dorset for you! It's nice to have a road that's reasonably fun to drive at the legal limit. Don't know how Rich and Ente found them? It's OK for me, I drive them regularly. I think I scared a squirrel.

Anyway, yes I will organise one for September, but I am going to have to think hard about photo-locations to match the Dorset ones. Most of the New Forest is 40mph, as well. 
- Or if the PASM is making the handling worse by stiffening up too much when you nail the throttle, and it might be better on the same road with the standard suspension.
