    audio directions on Nav system or silent?

    does the porsche NAV system (997)give you audible directions or is it strictly visual?

    Both audible and visual. Plus you can have the little screen in the middle of the instrument pod also giving you visual instructions (so you get three, big screen, little screen and audible).

    You can have male or female voice, volume independent of the radio / CD or you can preset the volume difference between the nav instructions and the stereo. You can adjust the nav voice when it is giving guidance using the normal volume control.

    yup.. yup... that english guy sounds too demanding for me NOW left... NOW right...lol

    That's why I have the female voice set on mine. I'm married so I am used to a female voice giving me orders.

    Don't know in english, but in french, the voice is not very friendly. . Too cold. .
