Picked up my 997S
Finally, after almost 4 months, my 997S arrived last Friday. Drove almost 1000km over the weekend, both on highways and steep mountain roads in the Swiss alps. Hard to summarize my feelings - This car is simply amazing!
Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe:
- Atlas grey with black leather interior and black dials
- 19 inch Carrera Classic wheels
- Sports seats (non-adaptive)
- Sports suspension (-20mm)
- Sports exhaust
- Sports shifter
- Sport Chrono Package Plus
- Navigation system
- Plus some other not-so-interesting options
The PSE is amazing. Just the sound I was hoping for - raw and throaty! Tried the CD to confirm it played MP3 and since then I have not used it. The music now plays from the 4 pipes in the rear
The -20mm Sports Suspension works very well. A little bit bumpy in town, although not uncomfortable, but plant it on a mountain road or go fast on the highway. Just perfect! Need to be a bit careful about the ride height, but this is something you get used to.
The Sport seats are very good. Perfect fit and gives very good support.
Brakes, gearbox and engine, I don't need to say anything - you know it already.
Atlas grey was a positive surprise. I had never seen the color in real before, but it really looks good. It also changes very nice depending on the light, from dark blueish to graphite.

Can't stand the wait 
I have started to rev up to 5000-6000 RPM range and what can I say, it is where this baby likes to be. The power is explosive and I am not even going to mention the sound from the PSE in this high rev range. Mean and bad and very addictive!
