Correct, white cars are powerful and must be handled with extra care 
Or maybe the side indicator fell off which blocked the wheel and caused the car to spin off?

Happens here all the time...semi-slicks and wet roads don't mix well. Some drivers don't seem to understand that.

Not a bad comparison at all. Most iPhone users I know don't have a clue about what they can do with their phones and I love the look in their faces when I actually explain a feature to them they didn't know about. Like just recently the Selfie front camera...no kidding (woman was holding the back camera to her face to shoot selfies... 
).
"My" Lamborghini dealer always recommends customers to stick with the standard PZero tires if they do not track race their cars often. Most customers take delivery with the road tires, which is a good thing.
This is what Porsche says regarding the GT3 RS semi-slicks: Straßenzugelassene Sportreifen sorgen für den notwendigen Grip. Durch die geringere Profiltiefe besteht auf nasser Fahrbahn jedoch erhöhte Aquaplaninggefahr.
They actually warn about the increased aquaplaning danger only but I think this isn't enough and not clearly enough for customers who don't know much about cars like the GT3 RS (most customers probably know what they're getting but...).

They are really good in the wet. But accidents like the one above happens all the time even in the dry.
Clumsy-right-foot-syndrome might be the issue.

Exactly. This is what differentiates a good from a bad driver, assessing risks and doing the right thing, even if it could hurt the ego.

Last week end i was on a meet on Swiss Alps,we were under a thunderstorm with heavy wet roar for at least 40 minutes,but NO problems with Cup2 and traction...really like to drive with standard tyres.I think it all depends on how you are on the throttle...you must be gentle,and sure also you must stay far from standing water.

This is the problem with the semi-slicks...they feel and drive often like the standard road tires but when the sh.t happens, it happens so fast that you basically are completely taken by surprise. I've seen pro drivers crash with these tires on public roads, just be careful. Even worse: Braking distance in the wet...when going straight!

Over 5000 cars have been produced, this is pretty much accurate but how many exactly? Well...6000 are possible.

More than anything, the Cup2s needed heat to have grip.
When we drove the GT3RS at Paul Ricard in the rain, it is fine. But on the street, there is no way anyone can drive them hard enough to generate enough heat for the tire to grip.
While the 918s were also on the Cup2, we hard to park them as that car is just too powerful and overpower the available grip, the RS being quite a bit less powerful and more forgiving so it was fine.
Was the same at Leipzig, RSs on Cup2s in the wet. It is fine if puddles are avoided.
