Sports suspension is only available for those other Porsches, I think. The ones with the engine out the back. I don't think it is even available on the Cayman. If you want a sports suspension PASM, with it's sports setting, is the only way to go on a Boxster unless you go to one of those suspension modification firms / kits. I wouldn't go near them - Porsche invest millions in developing the best sports car suspensions - so don't try and fix something that isn't broken.

As I understand it the sports suspension with 20mm lower ride height is only available on the 997. The only optional suspension on the Boxster (987) is PASM, which has a normal "comfort" program and a "sport" program. PASM ride height is 10mm lower than the standard suspension. Sorry for the confusion.

What part of Canada? If it's TO then skip the pasm. The ride without it is pretty nice esp if you stay with the 18's. They add more weight and cost more when the warranty runs out. If it's Calgary or some other snow bound spot, get pasm. You'll want to drive the car come spring and you won't have to suffer as much when you hit pot hole infested streets.

Try it! Go and play with some cars! To be honest, the visual difference between the 18 and 19 inch wheels isn't that great when you see the car on the road. I've got 18's with PASM, (which closes the gap between the wheel arches a little which also helps blur the difference between the 18s and 19s). And you're saving a lot of money and probably improving the handling and ride by sticking to the standard 18s.
