Funny how you have actually never met someone and yet, thanks to an internet forum, feel that you have build something over the years.

For those of you that didnt know him much or at all, heres an email that I think helps paint a better picture of him. He had such a great attitude, theres not many people like him. He helped alot with getting my videos hosted and compressed, also thanks to Pete.

I don't often post here, but I frequently read the various posts, and over time I feel that I have gotten to know Ben.

I always looked forward to, and enjoyed reading his insightful posts. He was the kind of person who I admired and respected, and the kind of person that hoped I could be like when I grow up.

He will be missed.

That's exactly how I felt, just from reading his posts here on rennteam I felt I knew him. I just can't believe he's gone...

one day we are here, another day someone just pulls the plug, not much we can do about it
i'm very sad for him, his family and the passenger as well of course. my thoughts go to all of them.

Lost a personal friend last week; my neighbor was taken to a nurshing home; another college friend has a serious cancer..and now Ben lj. Only knew him from posts and some emails back and forth. We bought and sold a few things.

It's such an empty feeling for me and I cannot even imagine the sorrow the family feels.

This news is spreading too. I went to the porsche dealership near me today, and when I was about to tell the guy I knew who worked there what had happened, he opened an e-mail he got from someone talking about it. This is such a sad thing. I didn't know him in person, but it was like having someone you've talked to, and watch respond to other posts, pass away. So sorry to anyone that knew him. God bless him and his family and friends.

Reading Ben's posts was always a part of the pleasure I got from rennteam. He will definitely be missed. I hope that those of you who knew him personally will make sure his family knows that there is a large of group of us that share a portion of their grief.

I found out about this terrible news this morning around 6:30 am, that's when I check rennteam.com first hand. I saw the message and I almost fell of the chair and hit the floor with my knees.

I never met Ben in person just on this board and several PMs but it feels as though I lost a brother

In April I lost a good friend who was only 42 and now Ben at 39.

In fact I was so disturbed by this awful news that I called the office and didn't go in today. I still can't think straight.

My deepest condolences to his wife charlotte and beautiful baby girl Parker.

I have several videos clips of him confidently piloting his majestic car. Im going to try and make one big memorial video of all my video/pics of him. He was the keystone of my 2 car show videos. It sucks that my last video also had a memorial in it. I sure hope its the last.

Ben was a great role model, especially for us aspiring young men. We will NEVER forget him.

Guys..no words..

I know Ben only for his messages on some Porsche Forums in internet,but yesterday when i realized that the crash of the CGT is his CGT...i was shocked...

Really i never think that the lost of a "internet friend" can be so hard....specially for a friend that,like the most of you,live really far...

My condolences to his wife,his baby and his parents..and also to the family of the other guy..

really a sad day..

I read the sad news yesterday and was totally shocked.

I feel so sorry for his wife and daughter, as well as for the guy who was on the passenger seat.
