The street goes both ways you know. Take off your Max goggles.

For many years the complaint was Hamilton had the fastest car and race becomes boring. Now the shoe is on the other foot with Max getting the fastest car and it's not boring? Some kind of logic. His lead today was never in doubt after the safety car. The race was whether Perez could catch and pass Hamilton to come home second. He almost did.

It's also the same argument about Bottas coming in second over say Max or anyone else in 3rd in seasons before. The argument is that Bottas isn't that fast and it's the car. Well now Perez has the fastest car together with Max, and he doesn't quite match Bottas' results yet. At least Bottas out qualified Hamilton on a regular basis to prove he do have some amazing one lap pace. His race craft and on track decisions however isn't that good, Perez however have those attributes, but does't quite have the raw speed on a one lap pace.
