If there were wheelspin it would be an advantage because the larger contact area would increase traction, reducing the wheelspin. If there is already enough traction to control wheelspin, increasing tire size would not offer any advantage (speaking strictly of acceleration times here). It would actually be a disadvantage to have a tire size larger than necessary to handle the engine's torque on takeoff; it would just be extra weight.
