Thanks for posting. I feel like posting this question every two weeks, but I'm sure people would get annoyed with me. I believe that the last word was that order sheets may show up in summer and the car might be on the road in the fall, or something close to that timeline. I thought we'd hear more by now since we already have specs for the next corvette z06 and it won't be out until I think very late 05 or early 06. My greatest hope is that Porsche looks at the z06 which has an aluminum chassis, 500 hp, huge tires, warrantee that covers track days, and a cost of 75 grand (probably), and then Porsche makes the 997 GT3 something that would be able to compete performance wise. I mean if GM can pull out an aluminum chassis, why can't Porsche? We'd need a very light GT3 with well over 400 hp to not be lapped by stock vettes in 06.
