BjoernB:

I think a 720 is one of the fastest car outthere - however, to compare it with a 992TTS is wrong as to me they appeal to two different group of clientele. I am also not comparing boot space , fuel efficency and acceleration time in the wet - nor 12 month "useability" - a 720 is for people who occasionally seek  a thrill - whereas a 992 is a daily banger capable of hanging on the tail of real supercars with a driver much less skilled on normal road

No doubt the 992TTS will be more sure footed in winter months but the 720S is an awesome daily driver, seriously in normal mode it is like a limo with incredible supple ride but with the benefit of amazing feel compared to the Porsche, OK I'm comparing with 991.2TTS which I bought new but sold after only 750miles because I found it horribly uninvolving and it just felt heavy and not playful. Typical 992TTS buyers must surely look at second hand 720S, tthey are enticingly cheap !
