Funny you mention that as the Corvette has always been a bit tight.  I never have had enough leg room in the previous models.  If I moved the seat rearward, the backrest would strike a bulkhead, which forced it more upright, reducing headroom.  

To large Americans, not sure if you are aware that Ford shifted patrol car demand from sedans to SUVs with their police versions of the Taurus and Explorer.  The Taurus is a large sedan with a large center console that robbed front seat space.  Officers, while wearing their service belts, couldn’t fit in the front seats!  Chicago, for example, has a de facto rule that any officer over the age of 35, must weigh over 250 pounds.
