Not sure what those terms mean Watt, but I guess they are referring to vertebrea?
After my accident, my lower to T vertebrea were fused to the upper L. Seems like peanuts compared to this. However, they took very good care of the scar, stitched it real nice. But... in order to get some bone tissue, they "opened" my right buttock and stiched it with staples like these. That scar didn't heal all that pretty, so ever since I have had to convince some pretty girls I survived a grizzly bear attack...  I guess you could easily go for white shark with cuts this size? indecision
Long story short; recover well, and make sure you look after those scars! All the best mate, hope you'll be back in the canyons with the dogs again soon!
