Why bought the SLR then?
Because it's a daily driver GT-type of car? And the enzo is faaaar from that?
Actually the Enzo is just as docile as the slushbox SLR and unlike an SLR, the Enzo doesn't have a severe stability problem when braking from high speed. On the other hand, the Enzo cannot run at high speed/rpm all day long. Why? I don't know yet. I also don't know for sure but I doubt the SLR has a problem maintaining high speed/rpm all day long. But with its high speed stability problem, not many people would be crazy enough to find out.
There's only one new supercar this year that does not have the above mentioned problems and that's the...
P.S. Thank you, Mellow Yellow. I love reading interviews of Jay Leno's car enthusiasm and the car magazine articles that he personally writes.
Curious where you heard/saw that Enzo cannot run at high speed/rpm for sustained periods? Was this one car's story or is this a well-established Enzo weakness in all copies? Anecdotally, I consistently have heard surprisingly positive comments re: Enzo robustness from hard-driving owners....
