Ordered 996TTS w/Tip, as car will be a daily commuter in urban setting, but will use car frequently for fun wkend drives. Anyone w/views on how effective Tip is in 996TT X-50 in city driving and in twisties? Seems to me that buttons on steering wheel aren't particularly ergonomic (I'm addicted to paddle shifters)....does one become more accustomed to the buttons over time? Does Tip consistently find correct gear in auto mode in spirited driving in twisties....or is manual shifting the way to go? Thx.

VK,

i loved my TT tips, i had 2 before a stick. TT sticks have a long throw so they are not optimum unless you do a short shift kit which is not as good as factory gt2/3 anyway.

i found tips great in the mountains as i upset the car less on each shift, and of course fun off the line... i never used auto, but agree that the manual shifts are kinda slow, espec. compared to a CS
