You question why the last NA GT3 RS is the best, because you think you can mod any older model (e.g. 997) into becoming "the best NA GT3 RS of all time"?

Why can't you project this idea of modding onto the last iteration of GT3 RS?

I theory you could, but you'll be up against diminishing returns. It also becomes a question of why the latest RS is better than the previous one, and if aftermarket parts for both are better/equal.

If .1 and .2 would use the same aftermarket parts, then that becomes a wash.

As long as your desired performance is beyond stock and below the max, then either car would suffice.
