"No more pure manual". I assume that means things like rev matching and other throttle control schemes during shifting will not be defeatable, as I suspect they are needed for emissions purposes (and turbo spooling purposes).

My dad bought a '68 sportomatic VW bug convertible for my mom as a toy one summer. It might have been the slowest car ever created. I don't think there was a 0-60 as I don't think there was a 60...

The Porsche 911 Sportomatic of that era won the Monte Carlo Rally in heavy snow and was a favourite of Porsche himself, that ancient trivia aside, the news doesn't look good for those wanting a lightweight analog like Porsche. 

Just so you all know, the Porsche Sportomatic was almostt like a normal manual except there was no clutch pedal, instead there was a electrical and pneumatic solenoid that actuated the clutch when the gear lever was moved.
