Thinking about the Touring Package, I find it interesting that Porsche, as profit driven business, would offer a no-cost option in such a highly restrictive fashion.  It's almost as if Porsche's focus with the option is to indirectly dilute the "effective" numbers of 911Rs without actually offering GT3 buyers a true option to configure their cars to their tastes. I fully understand that the true 911R has lightweight performance features that a Touring GT3 will not possess, but from an admittedly superficial viewpoint the comparison is compelling. Given that I and others are willing to pay >12K USD for the privilege of non standard paint color, I would certainly be willing to pay for the privilege of a wing delete option that allowed me to retain the color, interior specifications, and PDK that I have specified for my GT3.  Frankly Porsche's marketing logic utterly escapes me.

You are not alone. Really silly not to offer PDK.
