I don't think I'd go that far--even with PSM engaged, you can swing the rear end out in a C2, which is darn near impossible except at track speeds/conditions in an AWD. And under hard acceleration, you can get a slight porpoising with the 997 C2 front end. None of this is unsettling, necessarily. But the two cars drive noticeably differently, and after a 996 C4, 996 Turbo and now the Club Coupe (X51 Carerra S)--I'd take the C2 all day long as long as you're not driving in very nasty conditions, like snow with proper winter tires.

And on the plus side, the steering feel is lighter on the C2 than the AWD.
