Mode 3 is apparently better than expected on many fronts and is now on top of its category on basically every level. Vs the bolt it is bigger lighter faster and has way more possible range with the premium option. 310 miles range 0-60 5.6s for $45k minus $7.5k in federal rebates. It also looks way better, has a unique interior and ventilation system and capable of future autonomous drivers by system with more $$. Manufacturing has apparently been streamlined to a level never seen so far, they will produce 20,000 model 3 per months in the same footprint they produce 5,000 model S. base model recharges 130 miles per 30 minutes, 170 for the premium version, almost double the bolt.

You might not like the idea of recharging for long trip (how many trips a year like that you do anyway, I do none as I fly anywhere) and this won't probably be the only car in your household anyway. The car has no key (that reminds of Steve jobs strategies of breaking the established molds).

Anyhow this car should sell very well in the USA and probably in China. Europeans can keep chewing on their polluting diesels and silly outdated hybrid solutions.

Well thank you scifrog for you best wishes for us "Europeans"! Smiley

Sorry if we don't get excited, but it's a minivan dude Smiley
