I'm not impressed at all. My V8 does 0-100 kph in 5.3 seconds, 0-200 kph in 19.7 sec. and has a top speed of 272 kph (GPS). Of course it has two turbo chargers too but...

The only BMW SUV which impresses me right now is the new X3 3.0 sd with a twin-turbo DIESEL engine and 286 HP. I drove one for half an hour and I've been impressed a lot with the spontaneous acceleration from standstill and the very sporty engine, at least up to 5000 rpm. Fast too, 0-100 kph in 6.3 seconds if I remember right, with automatic tranny.
Don't forget we're talking about a DIESEL, the fuel gauge moved only a tiny bit downwards during my testdrive, so I assume that this car doesn't eat too much Diesel.

So no, I'm not impressed with the new X5...for now.
