This is really funny: Porsche immediately officially denied any recent 911 recall after the DOT issued that info and I'm also not aware of any 911 recall.
I think there might be some confusion: some sources said that Porsche recalled the 911 due to engine lubrification problems, some other sources say it is because of faulty seat backs. I'm not sure if Porsche just denies the engine problem thing or the seat back thing, this is really confusing.
Maybe there should be some clarifying message from DOT or PCNA. But right now, there is NO official 911 recall.
Of course I can't exclude that there will be one in the near future.

BTW: the VW Touareg has NOT been recalled in the US (only in Germany and some other countries) because the problems have been fixed before the cars were delivered to dealers.
