I think the price will have some support as there aren't that many made in the first place, and clean cars are far and few in between.

But is it worth 35% more than an F40 or 1.75x the list of your 918?

 

Depends on how one look at them.

It was made in much smaller numbers than the F40 and the 918, so the rare part is there.

People right now are just going through Porsche's production history and find cars that are produced in small batches and bid them up crazy. Hell soon they might move onto 993 Targa Smiley

but it's debatable how significant it is in Porsche's history. The F40 and the 918 holds a significant place respectively as a comparison. Yes it is the first of the GT2 name, but it doesn't carry a GT2 badge on the car, but the race car version did win it's class in Le Mans in 97.
