If you want to get the power to weight ratio of a 295bhp Boxster S back to the ratio for the current car at 280bhp, you would have to add about 70kg (11 stone). Now every car I have ever driven (from 30bhp to to 380bhp) feels slower with a passenger, often significantly. So I would say 15bhp will be noticeable.

Funnily enough, I had this conversation with a Porsche Driving Consultant at the weekend and he said if you are "sensitive" you should be able to notice an increase of 5bhp easily. Therefore, us mortals ought to be able to tell 15bhp....
