That is just not true.  For more than a week I have contacted every dealer in twenty states around me. They bluntly tell you that there are not enough and it will not happen.  Not like I'm not offering cash or don't have an ownership history. 38 years of drIving 911s every day means nothing. 

Got to be a US thing. Impossible to order a Ferrari too, but here in Europe you can walk into any dealer.

 

It is, the dealers cornered the allocations so they can tack on 'market adjustments'. 

That one item makes it hard to get a car, and turned into a feeding frenzy that feeds itself, a self-sustaining cycle. If a car seems hard to get, it must be worth something and one has to get one at all cost in order to reap the gains.
