Koko - thanks for that review repost.  I like the author's conclusion "if you want to be this fast in a rear engine V8, you will  have to sacrifice the engine note....".   You could say that McLaren already reached this conclusion and voted for "fast" when designing the first MP12-4C - they of course had no naturally-aspirated past to worry about.  And of course the ever-increasing demands of environmental efficiency regulations, and noise, also are driving the trend to turbo-everything.
