I suppose the new GL class is more intended for the US, Middle East and Asian markets...

In Germany, large SUVs seem to die a slow but steady death. Haven't seen a Q7 for some while and believe it or not, even the X5 seems to disappear slowly but steadily from the streets. I see tons of Q3, Q5, X1 and especially X3 though. Same goes to the GLK, which btw. is my son's(!) dream car when he gets his driver's license. No kidding, I don't know why but he really wants this car...but still has 8 more years to go until he can take his driver's license exam.  My daughter wants a Mini Cooper btw. Luckily for me, their "dream cars" seem kind of affordable. Especially used.
