I think the only interesting observation he made was that the ride comfort is very good - with his illustration of how well it rides the kerb at a corner on the TG track.

I couldn't help but feel that JC felt he couldn't criticise the MP4 too much (apart from it lacking fun, passion and soul) since it is a British car and he didn't want to look unpatriotic.

Hence I too thought that he said what he said without much conviction ...
