That's true. But IMO time has moved on and it gets more and more difficult for cars like the M5 or the AMG-version of the E-class. Just remember how many M5 with 6 cylinder did you see? At least in Germany you saw them quite often. Great cars BTW, especially with the latest 340hp-version of the glorious M1-engine. Then came the V8 models and the M5 became more rare. And how many V10 do you actually see in the streets? What looks like a M5 is a M-styled 530d most of the time. Smiley

Same goes for the AMG E-class, Audi with its S/RS-models may be a bit of an exception here, perhaps due to quattro, which is a great plus at these cars IMO.
