Agree with RC, that Porsche will not be slowed down by VW.  I spoke briefly with Peter Porsche, Michael Macht and Marc Mauer in Geneva, and all voiced enthusiasm and confidence about Porsche remaining an independent marque within VW.  I very much doubt VW would have allowed such an aggressive exhibition at the show if the intention were to slow things down.  Mauer, for example, said he was assigned several new directions--Panamera (done), Cayenne (done), new 991 (final stages) and the 918 Spyder. 

Regarding the Spyder, I travel with a good friend and sport car enthusiast/buyer.  He picked up an indication of interest form in Geneva, and has already registered his name with PCNA so he can be one of the first to receive one in the U.S.  This friend is a serious buyer, not a flash in the pan.  A former CGT owner, he is wildly enthusiastic about the car.
