ISUK:

A lot of people buy these as toys and want to have a short period of fun then move them on without suffering huge depreciation. The problem for the GT2 is that at this price point there are a lot of attractive alternatives for used buyers to contemplate so the first owner usually has to get out of the car whilst it's still the current range topper, with the resulting "must have" fashion demand that brings, or face savage depreciation.

This particularly applies to markets like London, Monte Carlo, Switzerland and some others where many such cars are bought not by permanent residents, but by affluent foreigners who live there just part of the year and buy a new "toy" each time.
