Interesting question !

I have always been a fan of the Cayman, i think they are great little cars, they have great roadholding, and on the pace side of things are getting very close to the 911, however you do not get that great sensation that always excites with the 911 when you put the power on as you start to unwind the steering at the end of a bend (Know what i mean :) )

The PDK is also technically great, there is no doubt it is faster than manual, and the launch control is good fun, however i do find the whole experience to be a bit disconnected when you are on the track. I like the pleasure that a manual gives you on a track when you heal and toe on the downshifts and have to think about what gear you want to be in at what bend on the circuit (sounds daft but you almost have to plan your track drive a little more !). I am not knocking the PDK as i think it is a great gearbox, just for manual guys like me it all seems a little to much playstation !!!
