Who would know if they put a 3.4 in the Boxster S anyway? Would they have to tell?

It makes sense to have a common engine....take Audi for example....how many 1.8T engines did they make with varying output!

Anyone checked their displacement?? Is 15 extra horses going to be that noticeable?

I had a 250bhp 986 S followed by the 260bhp version and the difference was quite noticeable. But back to the subject in point...

It still strikes me that the whole range between the 987 and 997S needs an increase to maintain Porsche's carefully contrived model strategy. Bearing in mind the 987 platform and variants are newer, perhaps the 997 and 997S will will get a small increase in MY07 (which would also make the gaop between the GT3 and turbo less of a gulf) and then the Boxsters/Caymans in MY08.

Also, the Boxster/Cayman might share a 3.0l engine at 250/270 bhp respectively?
