(According to PORSCHE) For the first 2000 miles limit the rpm to 4200.
Don't use cruize control/ don't keep the engine's rpm constant.
Do vary engine speed (rpms).
Don't full throttle.
Don't bog the motor (at any time even after break-in) ie) Don't let the engine labor at a very low rpm. (don't go uphills at 20 mph in 3rd,4th,5th.6th gear) Or start in 3rd gear.
You can go any "speed" you want as long as it's not past 4200 rpms.

I followed all of that except the 4200 rpm max. For the first 500 miles I kept it under 4200 rpm's. After that I nudged it up (with some shifts) to 4500rpm. After approx. 1000 I nudged it up to 4800rpm (w/ a few shifts) or so. After 1500 miles I hit 5200 rpms a few times.

After the 2000 miles I wouldn't just rev to redline. I would work the rpms up a 100 or so approx every 25 miles (approx) Or an each trip.

Funny, I seem to remember saying that we'd get back onto this topic in about 10 days or so!

Except it doesn't seem like it was a week ago.
