Let's put this in perspective. If you have a Subaru WRX, you can buy a hp kit to upgrade to a proven 300 hp from 227. This upgrade costs $1900. So it's about $26 per hp. This is an amazing deal. I don't expect Porsche could do the same with a warrantee on a normally aspirated car. But maybe I think they could do it for 5 times as much per hp. $130 per hp would come to $3380 for the X51. Even though it's 5 times as much I'd still consider it a very good deal from Porsche because there might be considerable testing for an upgrade that not many will buy. Heck Porsches cost 5 times as much as a subaru anyway. Even if it was 10 times as much as the Subaru deal the powerkit would be about $6800. I would think this is overpriced, but understandable. However, the powerkit isn't $130 per hp, or $260, if it's priced like is stated above, you're paying a thousand dollars for two hp. $14000 is one word: ridiculous.
