By that point, in another year, one will spend enough on a C4S with Powerkit , add carbon ceramic brakes etc., to almost buy a 997 Turbo , the latter with 100+ more hp and all the looks/stuff/ prestige that comes with the " top " , as Porsche calls it . Am I missing something here ?

I recently met a guy at my dealer who owns a 997 Carrera S for around 125000 Euro (Tiptronic, PSE, full leather, special colour, PCCB, PCM, Aerokit II, etc.). My 997 Carrera S had an official price tag of 107000 Euro. Ouch.
I'm afraid 997 Turbo owners will have to pay a little bit more for their car compared to the 996 Turbo. And yes, I'm pretty sure that you can spec out a 997 Carrera 4S Cabriolet for 140000 Euro. Ouch again.

This is not an information only an assumtion from my dealer: the upcoming 997 tt will be around 150.000 Euro with a normal option list. I have asked him, because I wanted the 997 tt. He said, he could deliver around june 2006. He even offered me to give me 6 month before an one year old 996 tt on a monthly fee basis. Asking him if 140.000 Euro could be enough, he answered he doubt. He thinks that at least I have to spend 150.000 Euro . 30.000 Euro more then my full loaded 997 4S with X51. He also doubt that the turbo will have 480 hp. He said it will be near 470 or even few hp less then 470.
